Some of the text below
is for the newsletter on Friday but I will talk through it when we get
together
Thanks

Welcome to the
A few of us have got together to
create a social calendar of events for our school. So far, we have agreed
to hold the following events to raise funds for Oakfield Juniors and also to
have some fun! Please make a note of the dates and let us know if you
can help out in any way or if you need more information. Also, anyone who
wants to come along to be part of the social group, then please contact one of
the members of the group as shown below. Even if you can only help out once a
year it will be appreciated!
Children's
Events
School
Disco
April

Can you spare us a few hours?
Fancy helping out at the tuck shop?
The children are already looking
forward to their Easter disco. If you can help please let us know.
Also if you're able to persuade local suppliers to donate
crisps/sweets/drinks/hot dogs/buns etc then please do and keep us
posted!
Non-Uniform
Day May
27th All
Day
We will need parents to stand at
the gates in the morning and afternoon to receive donations to our school.
Buckets will be provided! Suggested donation of £1.
Adult
Events
As well as creating some events
suited to the younger ones we thought it would be a good idea to get some of the
parents and carers together. We're hoping by doing this that you get to
meet other people in our surrounding community as well as have a good
time. These events are open to all. More importantly, we can raise
some more money!
Ladies
Night
Thursday 26th
May 7.30 -
10.30pm School
Hall
What better way to get to know
your fellow parents? Come and have a drink, something to eat and dance the
night away with our DJ! All ladies are welcome (including mums,
grandmothers, sisters, friends!!) but it's one for the adults only. The
tickets are £5 each and will be available from 3rd May. To make your mind
up, we may even have some star guests as our waiters....
Family
Picnic
Saturday 11th
June 2pm -
4.30pm
School Field
Bring your family and friends and
a picnic! Weather permitting we will all join on the field for some nice food
and company. A game of rounders and a penalty shoot-out for the Alan
Shearers amongst you will keep the little ones entertained and it's a perfect
way to meet other members of our community. Family tickets are £5 and will
be available from 3rd May.
We hope you will all be able to
become involved in some way or another. If you need any more information,
