After a very busy fortnight, it’s time to bring everyone up to date with the progress of all our teams. So………..
Ladies first: The Girls year 5/6 team were unfortunate last week not to make the final of Durham FA’s cup competition. In a group of four teams they started with a great 1-0 win against Castletown of Sunderland, Brooke scoring (left footed she’s proud to point out!) This was followed by a 0-0 draw against Boldon and then the girls ran out of steam, going down 3-0 to Grange Park. Still finishing second behind a team that we beat was a great achievement and as always, great big smiles were worn all round.
The Under 11 boys secured the runners up spot in the Tyne View League. They finished the season with a 3-1 win over Kelvin Grove last week and repeated the score line against Colegate this week. It’s a competition that has seen the team progress in the standard of football they have played and therefore, pushed the eventual winners Harlow Green all the way.

Finally the year 4 boy’s team have firmly booked their place in Durham FA’s knockout Cup Final. In this weeks semi final three exceptional performances saw wins against Lumley (2-0), Cestria (3-0) and Lanchester EP (3-1). Nick, George, Kieran and Jamie, sharing the goals. Well done to all 10 in the squad.
Finally, in the next two weeks the year 5 team compete in the final of Gateshead Felling FA knockout cup and the years 4’s in Durham FA’s knockout Cup Final. Keep checking for those results!!
