As part of a national school linking project Year 5 children are being given the opportunity to explore different communities and schools in Gateshead. As part of this project they have been paired up with children from a Year 5 class from Roman Road Primary School. Last week they spent the day at The Shipley Art Gallery, met their partner and began creating art work that reflected their life in gateshead.
This is a very exciting opportunity for the children and they are looking forward to meeting up with their partners when we visit eachother's schools in the summer term.
