Year Four were in good voice for the visit of a group of professional musicians, led by Mr Treherne, head of Gateshead Music Service. The children enjoyed learning a selection of local North East songs on a sea-faring theme, which were sung as part of the afternoon workshop. They then took part in a special concert at the Dryden Centre, to which all their parents were invited.
It was great for the children to learn from professionals and experience being part of a live perfomance. Children and parents thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
