NEW CHALLENGE

A November Competition

The weather is changing, the dark nights are here and we have just had halloween, how much more inspiration do you need to write a spooky poem?

The November competition/challenge is to write a spooky poem. Use the comments tool to type up your poem and then post it.

Remember to think about your use of vocabulary, punctuation, description, alliteration, similes, personification and metaphors. Your poem may contain some of these poetic features and more...

I will judge the competition in the beginning of December.

GOOD LUCK!
Mrs McCormack

A SPOOKY NIGHT

The wind is howling
The moon is bright
The trees are whispering in the night

The darkness is an ebony colour
In the shadows there is something strange
It’s moving now faster faster!

Look out look out what can it be
A monstrous creature waiting to get me
Its horrid teeth I can see

I need to get home as fast as a cheetah
My feet are pounding on the ground
And now I’m home safe and sound

I loved the gymnastics festva it was mint

There is a midnight castle,
Along the street.
I am scared,
The moon is heat,

The foxs come out tonight,
they creep up to you.
i turned around,
And get a big fright.

there is a party,
in the house.
But what they do not know,
there is a mouse in the house.

DARK NIGHTS

Children are sleeping,
Ghosts are creeping,
Bats leeping around.

Foxs howling,
The moon shining bright,
As bright as the Barbados sun.

Trees brushling against my window,
Bushes rusiling,
Leaves falling.

What could it be,
What could it be,
O its a monster.

Beware of the Monster,
Beware of the Monster!
