Congratulations to Joe, seen below receiving his prize (a stunning mountain bike) for being one of 5 lucky winners in Gateshead’s Reading Challenge. All primary children in Gateshead had the chance to enter, just by visiting their local library regularly over the Summer holidays. Over 4000 children did so with 3000 completing the read-a-thon. Those that did were then entered into the prize draw; and much to his surprise Joe came out with a star prize. This was presented at last Friday’s assembly. Again well done from everyone at Oakfield!
