The Year 3/4 football team completed their season as well deserved runners up in the Durham FA Knockout Cup, a competition that started with 64 teams. The final on Wednesday in Chester-le-Street involved Castletown (Sunderland), Lumley (Chester-le-Street) and Seaham (Peterlee) alongside us. The team got off to a slow start loosing 3-1 to eventual winners Seaham with an own goal getting us on the score sheet. The team raised their game after that with a 1-0 win over Lumley curtesy of an Aaran Sutton header he didn’t know too much about!! The final game against Castletown produced the best performance and a 3-1 win, with a goal from Aaran again and 2 from Lewis McNall. An excellent season from all involved and a well deserved final result. Well done!!!!
