On Tuesday 18th March the year 5/6 girls team got their season underway in the Durham FA U11 Girls knockout cup. The first round featured 2 games at a very cold Colegate. Both games were tough affairs with bruised shins and cut knees to prove it. We defended well and hit Colegate swiftly on the break, creating many chances. Overall this proved too much for Colegate and we ran out 3-1 winners in the first game with Lauren McDonald, Emiline Scott and Kate Thompson scoring. The second game was equally as tough but again the team played brilliantly to win 2-0, Lauren McDonald and Keira Scope with the goals.
So, roll on round 2, on a warmer evening one hopes!!
