Well done to all of those children who took part in the basketball tournament at Joseph Swan. We had 2 fantastic teams of year 5 and 6 players and although we didn't win, our children stood out for their outstanding sportmanship skills, attitudes and behaviour. Must mention Daniel W.'s amazing goal from the half way line! The referee was counting down, "3... 2..." and Daniel, knowing we were losing by a goal, decided to have a shot from the half way line, we had nothing to lose. The ref continued, "...1!" and blew his whistle, milli-seconds before the ball went straight through the hoop (basketball rules state that if the ball is in the air when the whistle is blown, goal still counts)! Nice one Daniel!
