Oakfield Year 6 football team have been crowned champions of the Felling Schools FA Year 6 Thursday League – Division 1 (that’s the top division!). After a long hard season through rain, sleet, wind and finally sun, the 9 boys who make up the squad finally prevailed. The competition started way back in late September with only one win in the first three games. But since then, and the Winter break, the team has gone from strength to strength, winning all four games against some very strong opposition.
So well done to (in no particular order) Michael McGill, Robert Ashbridge, Cameron Barker, Nick Hay, Luke Playle, Liam White, Harry Robinson, Greg Lindsay and Callum McFarlane.

It doesn’t end there though as the team are also in the final of the Felling FA knockout cup and have the summer league to play for.
