On Friday 19th January Mike and Tanya, a calligrapher and artist, worked with Year 6 for the whole day. They began the day looking at the patterns you can make with words. They had lots of fun doing this and were amazed at the different ways they could present the same word. Next they made templates for the letters in their words and used different colours to make an interesting pattern. Then they stuck the letters onto transparent plastic. These are to be displayed on the school bridge and in the Shipley Art Gallery.

Year 6 can't wait to see their art work presented on the bridge for all to see!!
